Leadership with Experience. Service with Purpose.

Meet Dr. Davinder Sidhu
It is both an honor and a privilege to seek election to the Kerman Unified School Board of Trustees. I have proudly called Kerman my home since 1991. I began my teaching career in Kerman Unified School District (USD) 33 years ago, my two sons attended and graduated from Kerman USD, and today my granddaughter is a Kerman USD student.
I am an educator and administrator with more than 32 years of experience serving students and families. My career has progressed from teacher to assistant superintendent, and now Director of the Mid-State Collaborative Geo Lead Agency at Tulare County Office of Education.
I am seeking election to continue my servant leadership in the capacity as a Trustee to ensure through continued collaboration with students, parents, staff, and the community to strengthen Kerman USD. I understand the importance of safe, strong schools and the lasting impact they have on students, families, and our future. It would be my honor to give back to the community
that has given so much to my family and to help shape a bright future for generations of Kerman
students.

My Commitment
A board member's job is to make sure the district works for every child — not to run it.
If elected, that is what I will do:
-
Listen first. I will listen to families and educators before I speak, because the people closest to a problem usually understand it best.
-
Champion every student's success. I will push for high academic achievement for every child, and insist that students with disabilities and English learners get the support and opportunities they're entitled to under the law — not eventually, but now.
-
Stand with our teachers and staff. I will support the people who show up for our children every day and work to make Kerman Unified a place they want to stay.
-
Bring transparency and accountability. Our community deserves that from the people it trusts with its schools and its tax dollars.
I will always lead with a teacher’s heart.
